Our People

A company is only as good as the people behind it. At Hand, we take great pride in the quality of all our personnel. By utilizing their varied skills, we are able to meet clients’ needs regardless of the size and complexity of their project. Satisfying customers is a priority at Hand Construction. The fact that nearly 75% of our business is from previous clients only reinforces the quality and commitment of our service.

President and CEO Cayce Hand received his Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction from Northeast Louisiana University. As a member of the Associated General Contractors of America, he served as president of the Shreveport Chapter in 1989 and again in 2006. He is licensed in the State of Louisiana for the major classifications of Building Construction; Heavy Construction; and Municipal and Public Works Construction. In 2002, he was awarded the Health Care Contractor’s Certificate.

Mr. Hand’s experience includes commercial and light industrial construction, new multi-family housing projects, as well as extensive experience in large renovation projects, including numerous multimillion dollar projects.

Thirty three years experience in the construction industry with involvement in numerous multi-million dollar projects. Awarded the Healthcare Contractor’s Certificate at the International Conference of Health Facility Planning, Design and Construction on March 25-27 2002. Experience includes commercial, institutional, and industrial construction and multi-family housing projects, as well as extensive experience in large renovation projects. Licensed in the State of Louisiana for the major classifications of Building Construction; Heavy Construction; Municipal and Public Works Construction.

Ricky Womack
Estimator / Project Manager

Fifteen years with Western Electric/AT&T as a toolmaker. While serving apprenticeship as a tool and die maker, Ricky worked as a carpenter for an independent contractor. Owned and managed a tool and die shop for twelve years. Responsible for design and manufacturing tooling for the plastics industry. Management of several skilled trades personnel and coordinating with sub-contractors to assure completion of projects on time

Kyle Hand
Estimator, Project Manager, Project Budgeting
Education: Louisiana State University; Bossier Parish Community College for Commercial Construction Estimating
Licenses: Louisiana Real Estate Agent; Building Construction; Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction; Municipal and Public Works Construction

Six years in the construction industry. Began as laborer on several projects then advanced to project estimating, estimating projects ranging from $20,000 to $10,000,000. Experienced in job take-offs, bidding on new projects, and project budgeting. Types of projects estimated include:

Industrial  Multi-Family  Hospitals
Commercial  Public Projects  Residential

Coordinated project with owners, architects, sub-contractors, general superintendent, field crews, engineers, suppliers, and government agencies.

John I. Provost
Project Manager

Education: Associate Degree, Building, LSU-S
1100 hrs. of Technical Classes on Commercial and Industrial Building and Operations
4 years State Electrical Apprenticeship Program, Journeyman Electrician and Journeyman Millwright

Twenty one years with General Motors. Began as supervisor of skilled trades on several projects then advanced to Project Manager, managing projects ranging from $500,000 to $325,000,000. Controlled financial, project approval, developed bid proposals, schedules, awards, management of all contractors and implementation of entire project on site, including start-ups.

Ten years with Owens Illinois Co. performing electrical and millwright work on Industrial projects

Frank A. Racine, Jr.
Estimator, Project Manager

Education: Louisiana State University, Bachelor of Science: Electrical Engineering
Professional Registration: Louisiana: Electrical

Eighteen years with International Paper as a Project Manager/Engineer managing projects from $125,000 to $25,000,000. Prepared cost estimates, project submittals, bid proposals, and schedules. Managed contractors during project construction and startup and trained operators on new equipment.

Twelve years with electrical power companies and consulting engineers as an electrical engineer and project manager. Provided electrical service to customers and design/build of transmission lines and substations.
